TOO COOL: ``I'm freezing!'' whispered Mandy Moore, shivering at Neiman-Marcus in Beverly Hills in a skimpy Missoni halter dress. Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon also looked a bit cool in a tart lemon Missoni knit frock on Tuesday.

But Tom Hanks' wife, Rita Wilson, was smart, showing up in a Missoni black knit dress with an overcoat.

All the dressing (and undressing) was for a good cause: to laud ``Great Missoni Moments: 50 Years of Fashion,'' sponsored by Neiman-Marcus and InStyle, benefiting the Walter Annenberg Cultural Center of Beverly Hills.

Guests, including ``Without a Trace'' star Poppy Montgomery and the adorable Mena Suvari, indulged in hors d'oeuvres before devouring Missoni's light, airy and sexy summer 2005 collection.

The big treat was the retrospective, from a '58 gold chromo flex suit and a '66 knit ring-collared mini dress to a '68 bikini and a 2004 sweater cape, hot sailor pants and yellow tank.

``I love Missoni,'' exclaimed Garcelle, who will play an undercover agent on the TV series ``Eyes,'' when it premieres at midseason on ABC. No Missoni on the show yet. ``But I do get to wear lots of great sexy disguises, just like Jennifer Garner does in 'Alias.' ''

Any red wigs like Garner? ``Yes, as a matter of fact, we were just talking about a red wig this week!''

Montgomery, looking hot in an orange BCBG dress, only had eyes for her boyfriend, Adam Kaufman. They met playing husband and wife in a new indie film, ``Between,'' and they already have matching I Ching inspirational-character tattoos on their arms.

Expect to see them snuggling in January at the Sundance Film Festival. ``Between'' was shot in Tijuana on a shoestring budget by a first-time director who spent his life savings on the film. ``He called us the other day, shaking with excitement, to tell us it was just accepted into Sundance.''

Making movies on the cheap in Mexico isn't as fun as it sounds. ``I think I spent more there than I made,'' joked Montgomery.

THE NANNY: Julie Andrews could have used her Mary Poppins magic umbrella to fly over traffic Tuesday night in Hollywood.

Sadly, she came by limo to the 40th anniversary ``Mary Poppins'' ``re- premiere'' and was almost an hour late.

``I think the original premiere had a lot of traffic, but tonight it was ridiculous,'' Andrews told the patiently waiting audience at the El Capitan, proving she is still practically perfect in every way.

The black-tie affair was a chance to dress up for the big-screen re-release (and upcoming DVD). Andrews was elegant in a glittering black and silver tunic, while tuxedoed Dick Van Dyke, spry at 78, did some high-stepping chimney-sweep moves.

Others who helped make ``Mary Poppins'' special were on hand: stars Glynis Johns and Karen Dotrice, lyricist Richard Sherman, choreographers Dee Dee Wood and Marc Breaux, and animators Ollie Johnston and Xavier Atencio. All joined fans young and old in petting live penguins and singing along with their favorite film tunes.

George Lopez and Ed Begley Jr. brought their daughters. Adrienne Barbeau put her twin boys in matching tuxedos. ``Desperate Housewives'' hottie Jamie Denton and a crowd of legends - Red Buttons, Jack Klugman, Larry Hagman and Rose Marie - partied afterward at the transformed Highlands restaurant, complete with carousel, kite flying and Yorkshire pudding. All in all, a ``supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'' celebration.
