TINSELTOWN SPYWITNESS.

SCARLETT FEVER: Let the Oscar accessory games begin.

``Lost in Translation'' star Scarlett Johansson hasn't been nominated for an Oscar yet. But the ``Girl With a Pearl Earring'' is already being hotly wooed by top designers, hoping to put a dress, a pair of pumps or some fancy jewels on her.

Johansson and her mom stopped by a De Beers Diamonds private champagne and tea get-together at the Regent Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills. Johansson arrived a little late after being lost, not in translation, but en route. Her publicist was outside the hotel, frantically trying to reach her by cell phone and give directions to the hotel.

Johansson said that while her Golden Globe nomination is an incredible honor, it hasn't changed her life. She still has to wait in lines at McDonald's and the Coffee Bean coffee bean

This is only De Beers' second year in the awards accessory wars. Last year they stuck a pink/orange $1.5 million diamond ring on Diane Lane's finger for the Golden Globes and wrapped a diamond necklace around Queen Latifah for the Oscars.

And like every Hollywood party, this one had its celebrity quotient, from supermodel Molly Sims to actors Kyle MacLachlan, Lynda Carter and Steven Weber, to uber-composer David Foster and his wife and collaborator, Linda Thompson.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the delicious appetizers and cocktails that Jordan's staff served up, and especially the nice touch of a white rose offered by the valets when they returned the revelers' cars.

But one thing really set this bash apart from most of the others we've been to lately: This is the first time we've ever seen a mostly naked, totally buff man locked behind a showroom window, swaying slowly all night on a swing. We're not sure what that has to do with design, but we know we like it as a party trend. Forget girls in skimpy skimp·y
