TINSELTOWN SPYWITNESS.

A GIANT `SHADOW'?: If ``Shadowboxer'' ends up snaring some end-of-year nominations for stars Helen Mirren, Cuba Gooding Jr., Stephen Dorff Stephen Dorff (born July 29, 1973) is an American actor, best known for portraying Stuart Sutcliffe in Backbeat and for his roles in Blade and Cecil B. ``This movie was made for nothing, just like `Monster's Ball' and `The Woodsman,' '' two films he produced, Daniels said proudly at the ``Shadowboxer'' premiere at the ArcLight on Thursday night in Hollywood.

``Hollywood continues to underestimate the intelligence of the American public; that's why I make my movies in New York New York, state, United States

Everyone in the dark, violent drama made it to the premiere and after-party except Mirren, who was off working on her next film. Joining Gooding, Dorff and Ferlito in celebrating the tale of a dying hitwoman finding redemption in her last big assignment were co-stars Macy Gray, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Mo'Nique, as well as the film's dapper Dapper

Later, at Falcon on Sunset Boulevard, the congratulations flowed as cast and crew jammed into booths groaning with cocktails and some excellent pizzas, crab cakes and ratatouille ra·ta·tou·ille

``We're opening in 36 cities,'' he said, grinning, ``and we'll show those Hollywood suits that they don't know Don't know (DK, DKed)

Well, almost, since a huge part of the party was the swagfest, featuring free Dollhouse clothes and shoes, which naturally had to be tried on for size.

The other tastefully covered nudies in the mag -- Denise Richards, Sanaa Lathan, Rachel Blanchard are some of the other seven who peeled it off -- didn't make the scene. But Klum and Jane editor-in-chief Brandon Holly were joined around the posh pool by Nicky Hilton, January Jones, Topher Grace, Sarah Paulson, Brandon Davis and hair guru Frederic Fekkai.

So why did Klum ``Go Naked'' for the cover? Easy -- it was all for a good cause, a charity that auctions off celebrity clothing and gives the proceeds to children.

``Clothes Off Our Back is a great organization,'' she said, ``so why not?''

Earlier in the afternoon, there was another special-people-only swagfest, this one held over lunch at trendy Sur restaurant in WeHo. Hosted by 7 for All Mankind founder Peter Koral, that one was all about jeans -- white jeans. The ladies who lunched -- including Angela Bassett, Sophie Monk, Ali Landry, Kristin Cavallari, and Robin Tunney -- went home with bags of skinny-cut, wide-legged and boot-cut pairs.

`MIAMI' HEAT: Don Johnson skipped the premiere of ``Miami Vice'' at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood on Thursday night. But the star of the dynamic '80s crime-drama TV series wasn't missed by everyone.

``Don Johnson is irrelevant,'' said Pieter Jan Brugge, the film's producer. ``And he's made many disparaging dis·par·age

 remarks about the movie.''

Colin Farrell, who plays the contemporary Sonny Crockett, also didn't have much to do with his predecessor.

``I didn't really think much about good ol' Don Johnson because if I was to think about the early Crockett, I would've been in (expletive) trouble,'' said Farrell before signing autographs, including one on a pastel pink purse, in front of Stan's Donuts and the California Pizza Kitchen California Pizza Kitchen (NASDAQ: CPKI, known within the food industry as CPK) is a casual dining restaurant chain that specializes in California-style pizza. The restaurant was started in 1985 by attorneys Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax in Beverly Hills, California,  on Weyburn Avenue. ``The film is its own entity.''

``Not everybody is thinking about the television series,'' contended co-star Jamie Foxx, who joined Farrell, Gong Li, director Michael Mann and other cast members on the red carpet.

``This is a hot movie, and I don't think they(star)ll compare the two.''

Unless they've watched television.

Johnson also wasn't among the 1,800 guests at the This-Must-Be Miami after-party that filled a giant parking lot with South Beach art deco, Florida palm trees, free-flowing mojitos, exotic nightclub dancers and towering Miami Heat center Shaquille O'Neal. Others who were there included Angie Harmon, ``Entourage's'' Emmanuelle Chriqui, Garcelle Beauvais and ex-``Lost'' member Michelle Rodriguez.

Not everyone was happy about Johnson's absence at the ``No Rules, No Law, No Order'' party.

```Miami Vice' without Don Johnson just doesn't seem complete,'' said Chriqui. ``It would be nice if he were here.''
By the way, Johnson had a bit part in the film as an aging detective.
