TINSELTOWN SPYWITNESS.

Byline: Joel Stratte-McClure

YO, ADRIAN! Adrian Grenier Adrian Grenier (born July 10, 1976) is an American actor, musician and director. Grenier is best known for his lead role on the HBO original series, Entourage, as Vincent Chase. , the sexy heartthrob on the hot HBO Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO)

``Adrian Is Adorable'' read one poster held by a screaming fan at the premiere of the show's third season at the Cinerama Dome on Thursday night. ``Adrian -- you're it!'' repeatedly yelled an admirer.

``This kind of public adoration actually chokes me up,'' said Grenier as he waved to devotees standing behind a barricade on Sunset Boulevard Sunset Boulevard is a street in the western part of Los Angeles County, California, that stretches from Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Coast Highway at the Pacific Ocean in the Pacific Palisades. . ``I may be the first heartthrob to cry in public.''

Fans -- perhaps including David Schwimmer David Lawrence Schwimmer (born November 12, 1966) in Astoria, New York) is an Emmy-nominated American actor and director, who gained popularity when playing Dr. Ross Geller on the American sitcom Friends. , who avoided the red carpet and entered the theater through a side door -- will definitely swoon during the season's first episode (airing at 10 p.m. Sunday). Grenier's character invites his mother to be his date at his first movie premiere. That's the way to melt any girl's heart.

Naturally, actresses on the show are too diplomatic to rank Grenier as the only heartthrob in an ``Entourage'' cast that includes Kevin Connolly This article is about the television actor. For the other actor by this name, see Kevin M. Connolly.

The entire ``Entourage'' ensemble -- along with guests that included Paris and Nicky Hilton, who's been dating Connolly off-screen for 18 months -- were certainly treated like hot heartthrobs at an elaborate after-party at Social Hollywood. The evening's action included belly dancing, burlesque burlesque (bûrlĕsk`) [Ital.,=mockery], form of entertainment differing from comedy or farce in that it achieves its effects through caricature, ridicule, and distortion. ``We're definitely looking forward to meeting Adrian,'' said one of the drag queens as he/she welcomed guests to the bingo parlor.

FREE-DOM: Tony Soprano dismissively scoffed at some of the swag he was offered from a Hollywood luxury lounge during a recent episode of ``The Sopranos.'' But nobody was sneering on Thursday afternoon at the appropriately named House of Hype in Benedict Canyon before Saturday's MTV MTV

Movie Awards (airing Thursday at 9 p.m.).

That's because there was more than the usual fashion and electronics freebies. Celebrity guests could attend a DJ school, play unreleased video games, hit the basketball court and skateboard on a half-pipe.

``I definitely didn't come just for the swag,'' said Shannon Elizabeth when she arrived at the luxury lounge. ``I love the panoramic view of L.A., and I plan to give a skateboarding exhibition when everyone leaves.''

Andy Milonakis checked out the video games, Jon Abrahams took to the turntables, and Simon Rex shot hoops. But few stars actually refused the swag.

``Swag is an integral part of my life,'' admitted Hal Sparks of ``Queer as Folk Queer as Folk may refer to:
  • Queer as Folk (UK TV series) (1999-2000), a British television series about a group of gay men
  • Queer as Folk (US TV series) (2000-2005), a North American remake of the British series
.'' ``I come from Kentucky, and if I wasn't smart enough to take this free stuff, my friends back home would kill me.''

Yet there's no such thing as a free T-shirt.

``Taking swag requires some effort,'' said Jesse Spencer, the Aussie doctor on ``House'' who was weighed down with shopping bags. ``We pose for pictures and know they'll use us to promote their products. Everyone wins.''

But stars didn't have to trudge into the hills if they were presenters at the actual MTV awards show. Hostess Jessica Alba, Colin Farrell, Jessica Simpson, Samuel L. Jackson “Samuel Jackson” redirects here. For the senator from Indiana, see Samuel D. Jackson.

Tony Soprano might kill for that.

THE PUCK STOPS HERE: Not everyone went to the opening of Cut at the Regent Beverly Wilshire on Wednesday night just to sample the sophisticated fare served at Wolfgang Puck's first steakhouse.

Some guests were Puck groupies, known as the Wolf gang. Others wanted to check out the sleek design by architect Richard Meier, who was involved in everything from the spoons to the skylights.

``I don't eat meat, and it's definitely not the steak that brought me here,'' admitted La Toya Jackson, as she wandered around the spacious dining room without touching the Kobe steak sashimi or prime sirloin steak tartare
:For the popular sauce, please see tartar sauce.
Tartare is a preparation of finely chopped raw meat or fish optionally with seasonings and sauces.

Examples are
  • Steak tartare,
  • Venison tartare,
  • Salmon tartare,
  • Tuna tartare.
. ``But I'm Wolfgang's biggest fan, and I had to be among the first to see Cut.''

Jackson not only scoped out Cut but also took a stroll across the lobby to visit Sidebar, a lounge also created by the Puck/Meier team that serves cocktails and a late-night menu called Rough Cuts.

Virginia Madsen wandered into Cut's kitchen with her son, Jack, to watch Puck prepare delicacies -- including Tunisian spiced foie gras sandwiches and maple glazed pork brochettes -- for Sidney Poitier, Jackie Collins, Barbara Davis and Boris Kodjoe, who sat at a corner VIP table.

``We've got an innovative concept of preparing and serving steak that will create a new dining style,'' predicted Puck, whose company also owns nearby Spago and a dozen other restaurants in L.A. ``People want variety, and I want my restaurants to give them an exciting choice.''
