THEY'RE 'YOURS' - TAKE 'EM: Did Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo skip the party following the premiere of ``Yours, Mine & Ours'' because they could no longer cope with their on-screen family of 18 kids? Or did they step aside to let their brood of co-stars enjoy the limelight at the Hollywood Palladium last Sunday evening?

The young cast certainly had no trouble rocking, rolling and ruling without their militarily regimented ``father'' (Quaid plays a strict Coast Guard admiral) and artsy hang-loose ``mother'' (Russo is a disorganized purse maker). And they eagerly discussed what the movie taught them about raising an oversize extended family. ``Parents with that many kids around have got to be 'martsy,' which is a combination of military and artsy, or everything will definitely get out of hand,'' said James ``Lil' JJ'' Lewis, the 15-year-old comedian/actor also seen on Nickelodeon. ``And all of the kids have got to learn to get along.''

They all got along at the after-party, where kids, outnumbering adults 3-to-1, played games like Admiral's Challenge, made beaded purses, splattered paint on a gigantic canvas and visited a petting zoo. It was almost as much fun as shooting the film.

``I'm an only child, and after making the movie, I know it would be awesome to have 17 brothers and sisters in real life,'' said Miranda Cosgrove, who also plays a little sister on the ``Drake & Josh'' TV series. ``And like Rene, I would definitely encourage chaos in the household.'' And what about Quaid's ``stick with the program'' demeanor? ``Dennis is very, very serious when he's at work,'' said Sean Faris, the oldest sibling in the ``Ours'' clan. ``Playing a tough admiral looked like a walk in the park for him.''

``Actually I'm not much of a disciplinarian,'' Quaid said before the premiere. ``And I think my character learns that you've got to loosen up in life.'' It's too bad he didn't make it to the after-party. The kids would have loved to see if he'd loosened up enough to join them for some break dancing.

OLSENS GOLDEN: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are together again. The twin set hasn't been joined at the hip lately because M-K moved back to chill in L.A., while Ash stayed in school in New York. But the terrific twosome, along with Lucky magazine, recently co-hosted an exclusive evening at Ron Herman's Fred Segal store on Melrose Avenue to launch the new Miss Davenporte collection.

What's so special about Miss Davenporte that it would attract not only the dynamic duo but also Demi Moore, Claire Forlani, Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes, Mandy Moore, Elisha Cuthbert, Nia Long, Michelle Trachtenberg and Daphne Zuniga?

It's a hip new line of Euro-sophisticated dresses and separates inspired by (and named for) the '50s/'60s style icons Jean Shrimpton, Suzy Parker, Sonny Harnett and razor-thin Twiggy. It's described as ``sexy styling for ladies with a girlish feel.''

Thankfully, the clothes certainly are ladylike, especially when compared to M-K's frequent bag-lady dumpster-chic look. But forget any firsthand news about the status of M-K's weight-gain program. Both girls wore what looked like burlap sacks, making it impossible to determine who's tipping the scales and who's not. And neither was talking to the press, so mum's the word. But M-K looked healthy and cheerful when she was spotted drinking and eating with ex-beau David Katzenberg at Urth Cafe in West Hollywood. Now if she would just start wearing Miss Davenporte clothes in public.
