SHE'S HAVING BABY, WANTS EMMY: Oh baby! It takes a supermodel to throw a party just before she's going to give birth, and that's just what Heidi Klum did Thursday night.

Looking ready to deliver in a cheeky Kors black fringed flapper minidress, Klum joined her ``Project Runway'' pal designer Michael Kors at his Rodeo Drive boutique for an early celebration of their Emmy Award nomination for best reality show.

``We were very proud of ourselves for 'Project Runway.' It just shows that even if you don't have a big budget - but you have a great concept and you have great people on the show - you can still be a success and get an Emmy nomination! So we said, 'You know what, let's just throw our own little party,' '' Klum explained, right after the nine-months-pregnant supermodel proved she's human and settled herself onto a couch after exclaiming, ``I just can't stand up anymore!'' Her hubby and dad-to-be Seal was a no-show - ``he's in the studio recording'' - but lots of Klum's galpals turned up.

Rebecca Romijn goofed with her and kissed her belly, while Debra Messing admitted to Kors that ``I love fashion but don't really know anything about it.'' ``Wedding Crashers'' breakout star Isla Fisher joined the ultra-beautiful crowd late. But all eyes were on Klum all night, as everyone wondered if she was going to head into labor right there. ``I'm really ready to have it,'' she said, grinning. ``I have to make it to the Emmys'' - they take place Sept. 18 - ``the baby HAS to be out by then!''

ROMAN HOLIDAY: ``Let's go party at the Colosseum!'' Debi Mazar shouted to her hubby and their pals after the premiere of HBO's drama series ``Rome'' at the Wadsworth Theatre.

Mazar joined guests - including Mira Sorvino, Powers Boothe and John Rhys-Davies - at Wednesday's torch-lit post-party set up on the nearby grounds.

The party featured a replica of Caesar's elaborate battlefield encampment and other sets and props from the lavish production. After getting a map to the ``city'' from scantily dressed slave girls, partygoers got their names written on scrolls by Roman scribes, had their fortunes told by soothsayers, enjoyed decadent massages, played bocce ball, tested their archery skills and feasted on Roman delicacies - pasta, pizza and gelato.

But the hot topic of the night was the battle of the sexes in the 12-episode sweeping saga of political intrigue in the Roman Empire.

``Aristocratic women definitely had influence in ancient Rome and knew how to influence powerful men,'' said Scottish actress Lindsay Duncan, who portrays Servilia, Caesar's loyal mistress in the BBC/HBO co-production that debuts tonight. ``Sex, as it has ever since, definitely greased the wheels of power.''

``Not everyone was having sex,'' explained Indira Varma, who plays Niobe, the wife of one of Caesar's soldiers. ``Poor women like Niobe just tried to keep food on the table for the kids while the nobles hopped from bath to bed. It was just like today!''

Any chance that some of the pleasures of ``Rome'' will become modern trends?

``My jaw dropped when I saw slaves fanning the nobles while they were having sex with their friends and family watching,'' said Swedish-born Malin Akerman who plays hot actress Juna Milken on HBO's ``The Comeback.'' ``It looked great on screen, but I don't know if I could really do that.''

Hey, when in Rome ...

PIXIE DUST FOR ALL: Are you ready for a new Tinker Bell? Then clap your hands and say, ``I DO believe in fairies!''

Your wish will be granted, thanks to DisneyToon Studios, which is making a film tentatively titled ``The Tinker Bell Movie,'' due on DVD, or possibly in theaters, in 2007.

The CG-animated film is the tale of Tink, Peter and the Lost Boys (before Wendy) set in the real world, Neverland and Pixie Hollow with scads of fabulous flighty fairies. Rumor is there will be a ``Mean Girls'' rivalry between Tink and another willful sprite.

Expect mega-major toy marketing around this much-anticipated family film. And big news: Tink will probably talk! But who will be the voice of Tink? Disney's lips are sealed, but Hollywood buzz is that she will be a major star, and she's ``sassy and spunky.''

Well, it probably won't be Julia Roberts, who played Tink in Steven Spielberg's ``Hook'' (1991). She's a bit long in the tooth to be a young pixie. How about Brittany Murphy, who has a cute, crackly voice. Or maybe Dakota Fanning currently the voice of Lilo in ``Lilo and Stitch 2,'' who inside sources say may be the voice of Little Marie, the white kitten in the upcoming ``Aristocats II'' (2007). Whoever does Tink, she'll be directed by Jim Kammerud (``The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea,'' ``101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure.''

Also coming next year from the Mouse pad: ``Bambi II,'' with Alexander Gould (who voiced Nemo) as Bambi and the mellifluously voiced Patrick Stewart as his dad. Insiders say the tale will be a coming-of-age story that has Bambi coping with the death of his mother.

WE SAW U: Reality TV kingpin Mark Burnett sang ``Proud Mary'' at Belvedere Vodka's ``Rock Star: INXS'' bash Monday at the Rock Star mansion. Co-host Dave Navarro strummed an acoustic version of ``Knockin' on Heaven's Door,'' and cast member Jordis sang along. Also in the house: die-hard fans Matthew Perry, Hank Azaria, Seth Green, Lauren Holly and the show's co-host, Brooke Burke.
