OL' SIR DUKE: Who was the hottest star at ``The Dukes of Hazzard'' premiere party? No, not Jessica Simpson. But good guess.

Shockingly, everyone was ogling tall, hunky John Schneider, who played Bo, one of the fast-drivin' Duke cousins, in the original '80s sitcom.

Schneider, in jeans and a black T-shirt, was the first star at the Hazzard County Fair-themed bash next to Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theatre, featuring picnic tables, a semi-truck-size barbecue grill, waitresses in Daisy Duke cutoffs, carnival games, a decorative moonshine still and a mechanical bull ride.

Although not in the film, Schneider flew in for the premiere from Vancouver, British Columbia, where he's filming ``Smallville'' (he plays Clark Kent's dad). He hit the first bar (``he just wanted a whiskey,'' said the barkeep), then told a friend what he thought of the new film; ``It's just like an episode of 'Dukes.' '' High praise, indeed.

Later, Schneider palled around with the new generation of Dukes: Johnny Knoxville (Luke), Jessica Simpson (Daisy), Lynda Carter (Pauline) - in a purple jacket, sequin jeans and a cowboy hat - and Seann William Scott, the new Bo. Scott didn't talk to reporters earlier. Perhaps he didn't want to face unending questions about his bizarre shaved head. It's for a role in a musical comedy, ``Southland Tales.''

Also kickin' up their heels: Burt Reynolds, Joe Don Baker, Ashlee Simpson, Nick Lachey and Eva Longoria. Cute couple Eva Mendes and Wilmer Valderrama sure looked cozy, even playing the White Lightening Ring Toss together.

So where was legendary Willie Nelson, who plays Uncle Jesse? The crowd hooted and hollered when Willie hopped onstage at 10 and sang a slew of his country classics, including, appropriately, ``Whiskey River.''

HOT SPOT: Look out, Hollywood. Those ``O.C.'' babes are on the loose.

Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson hit the Citizens of Humanity recent bash, hosted by the popular jeans maker, at the hip Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for a serious Girls Night Out.

See, Barton has broken up with longtime beau/sullen rich boy Brandon Davis, and Bilson was sans her regular co-star sweetie Adam Brody. The babes made a beeline through the Citizens party and headed out to the Tropicana, an open air pool/patio bar.

They vanished in the crowded cabanas and were rumored to be at singer Liz Phair's party in the private room overlooking the pool. ``They're definitely in here. Those are their champagne glasses,'' said a security gal, holding the celeb list and pointing to two glasses the girls ditched to enter the pool party.

Inside the Roosevelt, singer-actress Christina Milian, Michele Hicks, Josie Maran, Cindy Crawford, actor-director Jon Favreau, ``Entourage'' star Debi Mazar and Humanity's denim king Jerome Dahan waited for the Citizens Band, which came on stage around 11.

The cultish New York band's sexy and saucy Fellini-meets-cabaret act often features guest singers like Maggie Gyllenhaal and Rain Phoenix. Not familiar with their work? One of their hot tunes is ``Je T'aime, Scumbag.''

One Citizens regular is redhead model Karen Elson, who wed White Stripes singer Jack White shortly after his ex, Renee Zellweger, married country crooner Kenny Chesney. You can check out White's blushing bride in the Stripes' ``Blue Orchid'' music video.

No word whether Barton and Bilson caught the Tropicana's midnight act, when an unidentified young woman removed her dress, jumped into the pool and swam the entire length. She got out, dripping wet, and put her dress back on while everyone applauded her ... um, bravo. Gosh, no wonder there's a long list to get into this club.

BETTY'S READY: Talk about a living legend.

Betty Boop, that '30s animated on-screen vixen, still has a flock of fervent fans in Hollywood.

Betty's new fan base includes disco diva Gloria Gaynor, ``Desperate Housewife'' Eva Longoria, Heidi Klum and Catherine Zeta-Jones. All have been seen wearing Betty Boop T's and/or carrying Boop handbags, jewelry and accessories.

Jessica Simpson's 25th birthday cake featured a giant Betty Boop perched on top. And Betty Boop T's were stuffed in Lindsay Lohan's 19th birthday party gift bags for all her guests.
