STARLET SMORGASBORD: It was a veritable stampede of gorgeous gals Tuesday night at the Egyptian Theater, all decked out in slinky dresses and plunging necklines designed to catch the eye of one newly single man: Josh Hartnett. And none seemed to care that he's seriously G.U. (geographically undesirable).

KaDee Strickland, Natalie Zea and sisters Ashley and Courtney Peldon were strutting their stuff for hottie Hartnett at the premiere of ``Wicker Park'' and the after-party at Blue.

Good news for all those starlets? Hartnett is definitely single, having split earlier this year from his childhood sweetheart. The bad news? He's still living in Minnesota, with no plans of making Hollywood his home.

``I still live where I live, back home,'' Hartnett said over the din of the party. ``This is all secondary for me, the premieres and the press, everything. You try not to categorize it as a real experience. It's not like it is a piece of my life, it's kind of this other thing. It's like coming to Mars, and then I go home.''

He's not made of stone, however, willingly admitting that three of the knockout women at the premiere - his co-stars Diane Kruger, Rose Byrne and Jessica Pare - definitely captured his heart during the making of ``Wicker Park.''

``Absolutely the best part of making the movie is when you get to kiss three beautiful women. It's got something to do with the character, too, obviously, but it's a nice benefit to be able to work with gorgeous women,'' he said with a grin.

And which one of all those beauties is leading the pack in the race for Hartnett's heart? As he was leaving Blue, he was looking all over for Pare. Hmmmm ...

But we had our spies at the fabulous moonlit fete in Malibu last weekend and saw skinny stars actually nibbling on naughty snacks such as Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Serendipity frozen hot chocolate, In 'N' Out burgers, slices of California Pizza Kitchen pizzas and guzzling Rose's Infused Cocktails.

Most important accessory at a Hollywood party? Sexy single actors. ``Las Vegas'' hunk Josh Duhamel, ``American Pie'' hottie Seann William Scott and ``Blade'' bad boy Stephen Dorff fit the bill, but they all looked like they'd just rolled out of bed in T-shirts and jeans.

Scott hadn't even bothered to shave. Not surprisingly, he says he's neither a great host nor a memorable guest. ``I hate to leave my house lately! Gosh, I'm so boring. I better do something interesting tonight!'' Yeah. We're still waiting.

Duhamel, sporting a short cut from the ``Vegas'' military story line, claimed to be a dud host. ``I usually have some friends over for a barbecue. Grilling - or opening a bag of chips or a beer - that's about my speed!''

He certainly sped away from TV personality Giuliana DePandi and was overheard vehemently denying he'd ever dated the E! host. Wow. Talk about a double whammy: Bad host AND bad date!

``24'' starlet Sarah Wynter is much better at party-tossing. ``If I'm cooking myself, I do a simple pasta. But if I'm catering, I just make sure the drinks are really good and I have a fully stocked bar.''

Lara Flynn Boyle was officially a party co-host. But after hanging with Wynter, sipping a cocktail and playing air-guitar to Rock Chestnut's ``My Love Is Alive,'' she departed less than an hour after the party began. Maybe she had a better party to go to?

GROOMING BOOM: Talk about a close shave!

Latin Grammy male nominees, presenters and other hot Latin hunks cleaned up Tuesday at the Johnnie Walker Blue Gentleman's Suite in the swanky Four Seasons Hotel.

Artists such as ``NYPD Blue's'' Esai Morales, ``Anacondas''' star Nicholas Gonzalez, (who will be Mischa Barton's new love interest on ``The O.C.''), ``The Shield'' star Benito Martinez, and ``The Division'' and ``American Family'' star Yancey Arias were among the celebs who were pampered with straight razor (yipes) shaves, massages, facials and manicures.

Even non-Latin actor David Alan Grier popped by to munch on delectable treats and sip some Johnnie Walker Blue, which retails for (gulp!) around $200 a bottle.

Although the Black Eyed Peas (who presented at Wednesday's show) couldn't make it due to rehearsal schedules, they still called the JW suite asking for a bottle or three to be ``set aside'' for them, por favor.

Latin Grammy nominees who popped by included Andy Andy (Tropical Album), Area 305 (Pop Album), Kinky (Best Alternative), superstars Ozomatli (Alternative) and Superlitio (New Artist).
