Wearing jeans, baggy top, long bangs and a strange fake hairpiece, Dunst posed with hot girl group the Donnas at the American Eagle Block Party at Ivar Tuesday night. Then Dunst disappeared into the hot Hollywood club while the Donnas rocked the house. Fans like Donovan Leitch Donovan Leitch can refer to the following people:

Ain't that the truth! THE SHARP EDGE: It wasn't exactly a ``Monsoon Wedding'' on the ultra-modern rooftop of the Beverly Hills L'Ermitage Hotel Tuesday night. But friends, fans and press watched the glorious pink, red and orange sunset as they toasted ``Vanity Fair'' director Mira Nair. Nair arrived in L.A. after the recent New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of premiere of her epic version of William Makepeace Thackeray's scandalous 1847 novel. For Nair, directing ``Vanity Fair'' was a childhood dream come true. She first read the book at age 16, while attending boarding school, and has reread Verb 1. reread - read anew; read again; "He re-read her letters to him" read - interpret something that is written or printed; "read the advertisement"; "Have you read Salman Rushdie?" it every two years since. ``But I didn't know about the project, and I did not chase it,'' Nair said. ``The studio offered it to me after the success of 'Monsoon Wedding,' with no clue of my personal history with the novel.'' Those who haven't read the novel quite as often as Nair may not recall how deeply Thackeray delved into the intersection of colony and empire. ``It was the money from the colonies that made the empire rich, and it made the nouveau riche want to belong to the older monied aristocracy,'' Nair explains. ``The foundation of the book was all about the plunder TO PLUNDER. The capture of personal property on land by a public enemy, with a view of making it his own. The property so captured is called plunder. See Booty; Prize. of the colonies.'' And, as she did in 'Monsoon Wedding,' Nair fills the screen with the colorful and exotic splendor of Indian history, fashion and culture. Nair hopes that a modern female audience will identify with Becky Sharp's social struggles. ``I think we are all Becky Sharps,'' says Nair. ``She is the victim of a society who gave her a certain card to play. She didn't like that card and wanted a new deck. That is what women do today, but in that time they were not permitted to do it. It was all sit quiet, be pretty and hope the guy proposes, and that was their lot. But Becky is a motherless orphan from the wrong side of the tracks and has to make her own way using the only ammo she has - her looks and sexuality.'' To Nair, ``Vanity Fair'' still tells timeless truths. ``The question Thackeray asks is: 'Which of us is happy in this world? Which of us, having met his or her desire, is satisfied?' We should all ask ourselves that question.'' Nair will continue to plumb eternal questions with her next ``call of the heart,'' a script adapted from ``The Namesake,'' by young Pulitzer Prize-winning author (``Interpreter of Maladies'') Jhumpa Lahiri. ``It's a sprawling but intimate story about a young immigrant's life voyage from Calcutta to New York, which is very much my own story,'' Nair says, adding, ``It will star a big Indian actor and a big American actress, but I cannot tell you their names yet. But soon.'' We can hardly wait. THE LIPS HAVE IT: It's time you knew the truth about your favorite stars. Britney Spears loves to get Kinky kink·y adj. kink·i·er, kink·i·est 1. And don't get your knickers in a twist over makeup. Looking pretty should be easy, fun and fast. ``It should take you five minutes to put on your makeup.'' ``We've really tried to make it affordable (most items are under $25) and easy,'' Cohen says. ``Besides, its not sexy to look like you're wearing a ton of makeup.'' OUR BAD: Sharon Stone was plenty PO'd by a recent magazine report that alleged she'd had a face lift. ``They're just jealous bitches!'' she railed about People magazine editors at the Project Angel Food Awards last weekend as reported in Spywitness on Friday. Oops! The magazine that made the claim was actually Us Weekly, not People, as Stone's rep was forced to confirm. People magazine didn't appreciate the mix-up one bit.
