HELMUT, ANDY AND FRIENDS: Who knew Elton John was into pictures of naked women?

The now-auburn-haired singer (in dark shades and a bright red shirt) blended into the crowd of Helmut Newton fans who paid homage to the late photographer's risque nudes at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills Thursday night. Elton is in town to perform at the Instyle/Elton John AIDS fund-raising post-Oscar party tonight in West Hollywood.

An exhibit of Andy Warhol's late-'80s work was also admired by Dennis Hopper, John Waters, Barry Diller, Diane Von Furstenberg, Fran Leibowitz, Irena and Mike Medavoy and handsome hotelier Andre Balazs.

Representing opposite sides of the Young Actress Fashion Front: Homeless Waif - Kirsten Dunst - with greasy hair, no makeup, black capri leggings, shredded dress and pink vintage wool coat. High End Hooker - Lara Flynn Boyle - in a seriously sexy fitted black skirt suit, prim bun and ruby red lips so large they walked in to the party before she did.

AUTO EROTICA: Lots of snazzy cars and sexy stars turned up for the third annual GM Ten party held in two huge tents erected at Sunset and Vine in Hollywood. And any event that pulls in Hollywood's hot couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, doing what they do best - holding hands, licking lips and nuzzling necks - is an event NOT to be missed.

Demi and her beautiful Boy Toy sat in the front row during the GM fashion show featuring the newest cars and A-list celebrity models wearing top designer duds. Nearby were Michael Clark Duncan, Dennis Hopper, Steven Tyler, Lukas Haas, Bijou Phillips and Aimee Osbourne, who looks like she's on Anna Nicole Smith's new diet plan.

Slender Moore sipped Red Bull. Both she and A-Boy chewed gum constantly. Ashton has an endearing, if tres teenage, habit of affectionately putting his big old hand on top of Moore's tiny little head.

Carmen Electra ran over to Ashton and gave him a peck on the cheek. But no worries. Seems Kutcher and Moore are pals with Electra and hubby Dave Navarro. Moore gave Navarro a finger-whistle of appreciation when he came out on stage bare-chested during the fashion show with silver jewelry, silver cross and, you guessed it, silver nipple rings. Ouch.

Moore and Kutcher hung out with pals after the fashion show ended, posing for a candid photo with Steven Tyler before leaving. But they bolted well before Camp Freddy, Macy Gray and Mark McGrath started singing. Navarro and his band played before introducing Juliette Lewis, who punked it up, channeling Chrissie Hynde by snarling classic Pretenders tunes such as ``Brass in Pocket.''

More celeb models: Kim Cattrall, in a sexy Dolce & Gabbana white shiny gown, got the most applause. Heather Graham shimmied in Gucci. Erika Christensen was hot in Badgley Mischka. Molly Shannon hammed it up for a standing ovation, after hiking up her skirt to show off big white panties, like her SNL character Mary Katherine Gallagher. Matthew Perry pulled a Chandler, doing faux GQ model poses, which also got giggles.

Nicky and Paris Hilton and pal Nicole Richie almost missed Perry's poses, arriving just as he walked on stage. They'd been having an early bite at Cafe Med on Sunset, chatting with three hipster dudes about the L.A. scene, Paris' busy life and Oscar parties.

Overheard during the Hilton dinner: ``Vanity Fair Party is for old people!'' Like, we so knew that.

MEET THE NEW BOSS: Miramax honcho Harvey Weinstein, whose film ``Cold Mountain'' was royally snubbed for an Oscar, must have time to kill this week.

The famous filmmaker showed up late at the after-party for ``The Apprentice'' at Bliss in West Hollywood Thursday night where he chatted up LA Confidential/Gotham magazine publisher Jason Binn.

Early birds at the ``Apprentice'' event included Fran Drescher, Daisy Fuentes, Kenny G, Louis Gossett Jr., Barbara Davis, Ron Silver, Tracy Bingham, Tom Arnold and John Enos.

Donald Trump held court, wearing a suit and a snazzy purple tie with a pretty young brunette, Melania Knauss, on his arm. He chatted briefly with his fired apprentice Sam Solovey, who said, ``Sometimes losing is winning.'' Snatch the pebble from my hand, Financial Geek Grasshopper.

Dennis Hopper told Trump, ``I love your show!'' and Trump replied, ``It's been amazing. We're ready to start the second season.''
