TIMOTHY A. BOGGS NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF TIME WARNER; OTHER EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED

 NEW YORK, Nov. 23 ~PRNewswire~ -- Timothy A. Boggs has been named senior vice president, public policy, for Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX). Boggs' appointment was approved by the Time Warner Board of Directors.
 In addition, the board of directors approved the appointment of the following executives as vice presidents of Time Warner: Carol Melton was named vice president, public policy; Art Sackler was also named vice president, public policy, and Joan Nicolais Sumner becomes vice president of investor relations.
 Boggs has been vice president of public affairs for Time Warner since 1989 and Warner Communications since 1986. He has been in charge of the company's Washington government affairs office since January 1992. From 1982 to 1986, he was director of legislative affairs for Warner Communications. Prior to that (from 1975 to 1982), Boggs was professional staff member of the Committee on the Judiciary of the U.S. House of Representatives. He has a B.A. (1974) from the University of Wisconsin. He was raised in Lake Bluff, Ill., and resides in Washington, D.C.
 Carol Melton has been Washington counsel for Time Warner since January 1990 and Warner Communications since 1987. Previously, since 1986 she served as legal advisor to FCC Chairman Mark Fowler. From 1983 to 1986 Melton was assistant general counsel for the National Cable Television Association. Melton has a B.A. from Wake Forest University, an M.A. in journalism and communications from the University of Florida and a J.D. from American University. She was raised in St. Augustine, Fla., and resides in Washington, D.C.
 Art Sackler has been director, publishing policy development for Time Warner since January 1990 and Time Inc. since 1982. He is also managing director of the Mailer's Council, a trade and business coalition committed to fostering a healthy and efficient postal system. Prior to joining Time Inc., he was general counsel to the National Newspaper Association. He began his career with the U.S. Civil Service Commission in the Office of the General Counsel. He is graduate of Syracuse University and the Syracuse University College of Law. He also holds a Master of Laws degree from Georgetown University. He resides in Potomac, Md.
 Joan Nicolais Sumner has been director of investor relations for Time Warner since January 1990 and for Warner Communications since January 1989. Since July 1986, she had been vice president at Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management. Between 1981 and 1986, she worked for Paine Webber Inc., where she was named a vice president in 1983. She has a B.A. (1981) from the University of New Hampshire. She was raised in Chatham, N.J., and resides in Manhattan.
