TIMES INFORMATION SERVICES TO PUBLISH 'THE MIRROR'
 FOR YOUTH AUDIENCE
SEATTLE, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Times Information Services, a subsidiary of the Seattle Times Co., announced today it will produce a monthly publication for teens in January. The Mirror will be a free-standing publication distributed separately from The Seattle Times.
The content focus will be driven in part from monthly meetings with an editorial advisory board of area high school students. The "voice" of the publication will reflect young people's thoughts and opinions. Articles will be written and edited both by professional journalists and students.
According to product manager Wanda Cameron, The Mirror plans regular coverage sports, movies, music, local issues and current events. "We want to keep in touch with our readers as much as we can and to give them what they want, not what adults think they want."
Cameron recently hired Stephanie Smick as advertising manager and Lynn Jacobson as managing editor. Smick was most recently an account executive at The Business Journal in Milwaukee. Jacobson recently moved here from New York where she was stage editor at American Theatre Art magazine.
The Seattle Times Co. is an independent, privately and locally owned company.
