Actor Jack Hawkins, star of the film The Cruel Sea, based on Nicholas Monsarrat's novel, was at Liverpool's Royal Court Theatre in February, 1960, playing in The Lizard of the Rock, by John Hall, for a pre-London run, seen rehearsing with his leading lady, Heather Chasen, well-known for playing battle-axe Ramona Povey in the very long-running radio comedy series, The Navy Lark Picture: DAILY POST ARCHIVE
