TIBBETTS' 231 YARDS LEADS CRESPI : CRESPI 24, ST. BERNARD 14.

Running back Blake Tibbetts rushed for 231 yards and one touchdown Friday night to lead Crespi to 24-14 nonleague win over host St. Bernard St. Bernard

Tibbetts opened the scoring with a 31-yard run. After the extra point by Evan Driedger, Crespi (4-1) led 7-0 with 3:14 remaining in the first quarter. Driedger also added a 35-yard field goal in the second period that extended the Celts' lead to 17-6 at the half.

St. Bernard (1-4) cut the Crespi lead to 7-6 when quarterback Jamie Brooks Jamie Paul Brooks (born August 12 1983 in Oxford, England) is an English footballer.

After St. Bernard cut the lead, Crespi, aided by two St. Bernard personal fouls, opened the second quarter by driving 69 yards in nine plays, scoring when Joel Garcia ran the the final 3 yards.

Running back Javier Hanson got the Vikings close late in the third quarter. Crespi's defense held St. Bernard to only 71 rushing yards on 31 carries and sacked the Vikings four times for losses totalling 35 yards.

The Vikings managed to get to Crespi quarterback Kevin Cork (3 of 7, 43 yards) just once.
