THREE TRAINING COURSES IN DENTAL IMPLANTS SCHEDULED FOR FORT LAUDERDALE ON MAY 1-3

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Three advanced training seminars on dental implant technology emphasizing the Swiss- Precision Ha-Ti(TM) Step-Screw Dental Implant System will be conducted by the Dr. Robert Mathys Foundation in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Saturday, May 1, Sunday, May 2, and Monday, May 3, at the Fort Lauderdale Airport Hilton.
Dental implant courses are presented by certified lecturers of the Dr. Robert Mathys Foundation throughout the United States to qualify and certify surgeons, restoring dentists and dental technicians on how to integrate dental implantology and the Ha-Ti system from Mathys Corporation to their practice. The course must be completed and the person certified before any components in the Ha-Ti product line can be purchased.
According to the seminar organizers, the three courses are aimed at general dentists, prosthodontists, periodontists, surgeons and lab technicians wanting to expand their practice or service by offering implants to their patients as an alternative to bridges and other restorative devices.
The Foundation's one-day comprehensive prosthetic training course on May 2 is aimed at the general dental practitioner and prosthodontist and prepares them for immediate restorative clinical applications using the Ha-Ti systems.
In contrast, the two-day surgical training course on May 2 and May 3 is aimed at the general dentist, periodontist or oral surgeon for immediate clinical applications using the unique hand driven instrumentation of the Ha-Ti system.
The two-day dental laboratory technician course on May 1 and May 2 provides a thorough introduction on the Ha-Ti system and certifies the technician to fabricate PFM crown over telescope basis.
All courses will begin each day at 9 a.m. Cost of attending the one-day prosthetic training course is free, with the surgical course $750 and the dental lab technician course $395. Registration and further information can be obtained by calling 1-800-328-3965 or 704-556-9002. It's the first time these courses have been offered in South Florida.
The recently introduced Swiss Precision Ha-Ti step screw precision dental implant system is unique in regard to implant surface structure and design. It incorporates a building block approach coupled with a press fit design that maximizes implant to superstructure cleansability and provides precision margins of up to 1 to 4 microns. Although newly available in the U.S., the Ha-Ti system was first placed eight years ago in Switzerland and since then has been successfully placed throughout Europe, Asia and The Far East. The Ha-Ti system was developed in 1984 by Philippe Ledermann, Robert Mathys and Rolf Frischherz.
