THOUSAND OAKS SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: DEAN STRIKES FOR SCORPIONS.

"Annissa is one of our senior leaders, and that was a big hit against a very good El Camino Real team and a good pitcher," Camarillo coach Jack Willard said.

"Everyone on this team is good, and we all play well together," Camarillo's Delaney Willard said.

Camarillo's only loss this season was a 2-1 defeat to Valencia on March 20.

The Scorpions (21-1) have outscored their past six opponents 57-1.

The Thousand Oaks tournament, which concluded Saturday, is a good test.

El Camino Real 3, Rosary 2: Kellie Caplan went 4 for 4 and scored a run, and Krista Cobb pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts, giving up five hits for El Camino Real (20-6).

Rosary (8-14) scored two runs in the sixth inning, then had the potential tying run on base in the seventh, but Cobb induced two popouts to end the game.
