 THOMAS L. GOSSAGE NOMINATED TO WILMINGTON TRUST BOARD
 WILMINGTON, Del., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilmington Trust


Corporation (NASDAQ: WILM), announced that Thomas L. Gossage, chairman and chief executive officer of Hercules Incorporated, will be a nominee for election to the Wilmington Trust board of directors at its annual meeting on April 16, 1992.
 Gossage, 57, joined Hercules in 1988 as president of Hercules Speciality Chemicals Company after serving 26 years with Monsanto Company. He was named president and chief executive officer of Aqualon Company, a Hercules subsidiary, in 1989, and was named senior vice president and elected to the board of directors of Hercules later that year. He became chairman and chief executive officer of Hercules in 1991.
 Gossage is a member of the Delaware Roundtable, the board of directors of the Grand Opera House, Inc., the governing board of the Winterthur Corporate Council and is a member of the board of trustees and is on the executive committee of the Delaware Art Museum.
 This move brings the total number of directors to 25. Wilmington Trust also has three associate directors.
 Wilmington Trust Company, a Delaware chartered bank with $4.2 billion in assets and 61 branches, is the principal subsidiary of Wilmington Trust Corporation.
