 THOMAS D. WOODBERY TO JOIN NATIONAL CITY'S
 CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS STAFF
 CLEVELAND, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC) announced today that Thomas D. Woodbery will join its corporate communications department at its Cleveland headquarters, effective Sept. 14, 1992. Woodbery will serve as vice president, advertising manager under the direction of Mary H. Griffith, senior vice president.

 Before joining NCC, Woodbery worked at Liggett-Stashower, Inc. in Cleveland from 1983 to 1992. He was vice president and account supervisor from 1988 to 1992. From 1979 to 1983, Woodbery was regional director, public affairs at American Express Company in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was a legislative aide for Senator Chiles, U.S. Senate, in Washington, D.C. from 1975 to 1979.
 Woodbery graduated summa cum laude from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn., in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in political science. He and his wife Alison and sons Evan, Frederick and Will reside in Bay Village.
