THOMAS A. PLANT ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT NATIONAL CITY CORPORATION
CLEVELAND, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC) recently elected Thomas A. Plant vice president, assistant general counsel and assistant secretary for the $28 billion diversified financial services company. Plant, 45, serves as chief counsel and secretary for National City's Akron subsidiary, National City Bank, Northeast. Plant will continue in his capacity as head of the corporate and regulatory group for the corporation.

Plant joined National City Bank, Columbus (formerly BancOhio National Bank) in 1978 as legal counsel. In 1985, Plant joined the law department of the Cleveland bank. He later joined National City Bank, Northeast (Akron) as senior vice president and chief counsel of the bank. A graduate of the University of Akron School of Law, Plant earned his juris doctor in 1974. He earned his undergraduate degree from Alfred University in Alfred, New York. Plant is a member of the American Bar Association, the Akron Bar Association and the Cleveland Bar Association. Plant, his wife Ruth, and their two children live in Hudson, Ohio.
