In September, the New York-based magazine unveiled its 11th list. Two Ventura County-based businesses cracked the top 100 again this year - Amgen Inc. in Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Patagonia's placing in the top-10 group this year is the eighth time the designer and distributor of outdoor wear has made the top 100, and the company's third appearance among the top 10.
