THEME FOR FAIR IS 'GOOD' CHOICE.

LANCASTER - ``Let the Good Times Grow'' will be the theme for the 2006 Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. For the census-designated place in Wyoming, see Antelope Valley-Crestview, Wyoming.

The Antelope Valley
 Fair and Alfalfa alfalfa (ălfăl`fə) or lucern (lsûn`), perennial leguminous plant (Medicago sativa  Festival.

The theme, submitted by Kathleen Densing of Rosamond in the fair's annual contest, will serve as the fairgrounds' theme all next year, officials said.

``The A.V. Fair is much more than an 11-day event in late August,,'' fair board President Darth Eliopulos said. ``This year's theme perfectly reflects the essence of the 68th annual Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival. It gives us the latitude to showcase our growing facility to the community, all year long.''

The fair moved in 2004 from the 65-year-old downtown fairgrounds n. pl. 1. same as fairground.  to new larger grounds adjoining the Antelope Valley Freeway The Antelope Valley Freeway is a freeway in Los Angeles and Kern counties in southern California. It is signed as California State Highway 14 along its length. It connects Greater Los Angeles to the rapidly developing Antelope Valley. . Fair officials hope to complete the R. Rex Parris show arena by June 2006.

The fair will run from Aug. 25 to Sept. 4. Headline entertainment has not been announced.

Densing, who said she has submitted many fair theme suggestions over the years, will ride in the 2006 Fair Parade as a VIP. She also will receive two tickets to all fair concerts and arena entertainment and attend the annual kick-off dinner held in August.

She also will get parking and entry passes to the fairgrounds' Bridal Show in January, the Home and Garden Show in March, as well as to the fair itself.
