Fair officials hope to complete the R. Rex Parris show arena by June 2006. The fair will run from Aug. 25 to Sept. 4. Headline entertainment has not been announced. Densing, who said she has submitted many fair theme suggestions over the years, will ride in the 2006 Fair Parade as a VIP. She also will receive two tickets to all fair concerts and arena entertainment and attend the annual kick-off dinner held in August.
