THEATER CAMP IN PALMDALE TO PULL CURTAIN.

PALMDALE Palmdale, city (1990 pop. 68,842), Los Angeles co., S Calif., in the irrigated Antelope Valley; a growing residential suburb of Los Angeles near Little Rock Creek where it forms Lake Palmdale Reservoir, inc. 1962.  -- Youngsters age 9 to 12 begin a two-week theater camp that will culminate culminate, in astronomy, the maximum height in the sky reached by a celestial body on a given day. At the culminate the body is crossing the observer's celestial meridian and is said to be in upper transit.  in a production of ``Jack and the Beanstalk.''

The fourth annual Palmdale Playhouse Junior Summer Theatre Camp runs from Tuesday through June 9, concluding with performances at 7 p.m. June 9 and 2 p.m. June 10.

Spaces are already full for the two-week program, which includes lessons in acting, auditioning, makeup makeup

In the performing arts, material used by actors for cosmetic purposes and to help create the characters they play. Not needed in Greek and Roman theatre because of the use of masks, makeup was used in the religious plays of medieval Europe, in which the angels' faces
, scene painting and dance movement.

The youngsters will perform a classic story dramatized by William Glennon.

Spaces are also full for the Playhouse's high school camp later in the summer.

For ages 13 to 19, the Playhouse will host its 10th annual Summer Theatre Camp June 26 through July 27, which culminates with a musical production of ``Charlotte's Web Charlotte’s Web
