THE TRUTH; THE HILLSBOROUGH SCANDAL.

KENNY DALGLISH Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish MBE (born 4 March 1951 in Dalmarnock, Glasgow) is a former Scottish international football player. He was famous for his successes with Celtic in the 1970s and with the English club Liverpool in the 1970s and 1980s.  yesterday demanded justice for those who died at Hillsborough after a damning report into the disaster revealed 41 of the 96 fans could have been saved.

The ex-Liverpool and Celtic boss wants victims' death certificates changed from accidental to unlawful killing after families won their 23-year fight for the truth.

The independent panel who sifted through 450,000 pages of documents revealed that: ? Panel member Dr Bill Kirkup said 41 "had the potential to survive".

The coroner took blood samples from the dead - including children - to try to support bogus claims that alcohol was to blame.

Out of 164 statements from officers, 116 were doctored to cover up their bosses' negligence.

Dalglish said: "The sad thing is that 41 could be saved. Next step justice. A start would be for the death certificates to be changed from accidental death to unlawful killing."
