THE SKY'S THE LIMIT : PLANELY SPEAKING, VAN NUYS AIRPORT AVIATION EXPO OFFERS HIGH-FLYING FAMILY FUN FOR FREE WHAT'S IN THE AIR UP THERE?

More than 250,000 people are expected to see some of the world's most advanced and oldest aircraft at the Van Nuys Airport Van Nuys Airport (IATA: VNY, ICAO: KVNY, FAA LID: VNY) is a public airport located in Van Nuys, California in the San Fernando Valley, within the Los Angeles city limits.  Aviation Expo '96.

Open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the expo will feature more than 50 military, vintage and business aircraft. The pedestrian entrance to the Aviation Expo '96 is located at 8030 Balboa Blvd., Van Nuys. For information about the expo, call (818) 785-8838.

Schedule of events:

Saturday: 10 a.m.

Opening ceremonies, national anthem, flag salute, F-16 Falcon formation flyover, welcoming remarks by airport manager Ronald J. Kochevar.

The expo's grand marshal Grand Marshal is a ceremonial, military, or political office of very high rank. Misty Blues all-women skydiving skydiving

Sport of jumping from an airplane at a moderate altitude (e.g., 6,000 ft [1,800 m]) and executing various body maneuvers before pulling the rip cord of a parachute. Competitive events include jumping for style, landing with accuracy, and performing in teams (e.g.
 team will perform a variety of air stunts.
