A longtime fixture on the Los Angeles journalism scene, he is best known for his years with The Hollywood Reporter. on TV Here it is, the worst movie of the year. Oh sure, it's only February, but I have full confidence that "Hijacked: Flight 285" will stand the test of time to scrape the very bottom of the 1996 barrel. Unfathomably dreadful, it stars onetime Brat Packers Anthony Michael Hall Mike Hall (born 13 October, 1965 in Bridgend), is a former Welsh rugby international, now property developer and part time rugby pundit. Just before graduating from University of Cambridge, Hall commenced his international career on 28 May, 1988 against New Zealand in as a crazed airline hijacker and Ally Sheedy as the can-do hostage negotiator. With all of this going on, they have to cope with a rebellious 17-year-old son (breakout hunk James Marsden) who hooks up with the local bad girl (she smokes!), another boy who is searching for his biological mom and an African-American girl who feels like an outcast because of her skin color. No, it isn't easy saving the world, even when you have a biblical name. This show at least tries to address real human themes and embrace genuine emotions, and if it's a bit pat in its conclusions, you've got to appreciate any 8 o'clock network show that doesn't have a single reference to "Friends." And here is a news flash: The entire family can watch this show without fear of uncomfortable sexual references. Bravo.
