"We wanted to design something classical that you could dress up or dress down," said Leslie Niskar, the 32-year-old owner of the firm. "Some of the clothes have more sex appeal, but they don't look like an evening dress." The line, which is sold at Fred Segal in Los Angeles, Suji in Santa Monica and Leslie Boutique in Studio City, has an Asian look to it, with silky fabrics accented with embroidered em·broi·der v. em·broi·dered, em·broi·der·ing, em·broi·ders v.tr. 1. To ornament with needlework: embroider a pillow cover. 2. flowers or beads. There are pants, skirts and tops that mix and match and retail for between $60 and $160.
