THE ROCKETTES KICK UP THEIR HEELS WITH THE WORLD'S MOST POPULAR DOLL; BARBIE BECOMES PART OF THE LEGENDARY DANCE TROUPE

NEW YORK, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Taking time out from rehearsals for the upcoming Radio City Easter Show, the world-famous Radio City Music Hall Rockettes will welcome Barbie as their newest member at an exclusive performance today at the "Barbie on Madison" boutique at FAO Schwarz. The Rockettes will perform a sneak preview of scenes from the upcoming Easter Show for a crowd of children and avid adult Barbie fans and collectors to help "kick" off the introduction of the new collectible Rockettes Barbie doll.
Immediately following the performance, guests will have an opportunity to get their Rockettes Barbie dolls autographed by the Rockettes, browse in the "pretty-in-pink" Barbie boutique and mingle with the Easter bunny.
Rockettes Barbie, available exclusively at FAO Schwarz, comes complete with two costumes. She's a shimmering sensation in the festive frills of a layered dance skirt, glittery gloves and magnificent headpiece, and with her bejeweled tux and tails plus top hat and cane, she's a classic, high-stepping member of the Rockettes. The doll retails for $65.
"Barbie on Madison" is the ultimate place to shop for all-things Barbie, including Barbie dolls and accessories, as well as Barbie for Girls children's apparel, fashion accessories, home furnishings, health and beauty aids, video game software and more.
A joint effort between Mattel Inc. and FAO Schwarz, "Barbie on Madison" occupies 1,200 square feet. The boutique is open Monday- Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Thursday until 8 p.m.), and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
Linked in a spiral of acclaim for more than 60 years, Radio City Music Hall and the Rockettes are two of the most famous entertainment institutions in the world. Famed for their precision dancing, the Rockettes continue to delight audiences, young and old alike, at the Music Hall and around the globe. In this year's Easter Show, the high-kicking dance troupe will appear in several numbers, continuing Radio City's rich tradition of classic family entertainment. Guests at the FAO Schwarz performance will be able to purchase tickets to Radio City's springtime musical spectacular, which runs from April 2-17, at a special ticket window inside the store.
