THE QUESTEX GROUP LTD. ACQUIRES SAFKO INTERNATIONAL INC., OWNERS & DEVELOPERS OF WORLD-KNOWN 'SEN SEI SYSTEM' FOR THE PHYSICALLY DISABLED

PHOENIX, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Questex Group Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: QXGR) announced today that it has, effective Sept. 28, acquired 92.3 percent of the issued shares of Safko International by way of a tax-free exchange for 184,600 Restricted Common Treasury Shares of Questex.
Safko International Inc. (Safko) is an Arizona corporation which was started by Lon S. Safko in 1986. Safko manufactures and markets computer systems including proprietary hardware and software for the physically disabled "The Sen Sei System." Safko International's Sen Sei, a Japanese term of great respect, meaning master or teacher, helps severely disabled individuals retain and maintain the dignity of a self- reliant lifestyle. The Sen Sei System assists the severely disabled in the training and rehabilitation process and improves the overall mental and physical well-being of the user.
The Sen Sei System has been clinically tested since 1986 in major hospitals and rehabilitation centers throughout the United States and has received preliminary approval by the Veteran's Administration Hospital's Prosthetics Assessment and Information Center in Baltimore, Md.
Sen Sei has been converted and translated into Swedish for licensing to TeleNova AB, a subsidiary of The Swedish Telecom Group, a representative of the Swedish government. The Sen Sei System is now available for distribution throughout the Scandinavian countries.
Lon S. Safko, president and founder of Safko International Inc., winner of the Westinghouse National Management Association, Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 1988, has directed the development of the Sen Sei products since 1986. The financial officer of Safko will come onto the board of Questex and Richard Wensel will accept a similar appointment of Questex's new susidiary.
Safko, which will operate as a subsidiary of Questex and with the help of Questex's signage division, will immediately expand its marketing program nationwide. "The compatibility of these two business (Braille signage and computer systems to assist the disabled) all under the flagship of the Americans with Disabilities Act. "A.D.A. is remarkable," stated Wensel, president of Questex. "We realistically expect our revised and expanded corporation to become a leader in these fields by reason of our proprietary technology," he added.
According to the 1990 Census there are already approximately 5,000,000 severely disabled persons in the United States and along with incidents at birth, illnesses and accidents this adds another 500,000 victims per year. The Questex job in the coming months is to bring The Sen Sei System to as many of these people as is humanly possible. Every major hospital in Phoenix has a system, but tens of thousands are needed in hospitals throughout the nation.
Safko, coupled with Questex's distribution network, expects to sell in the first 12 months in excess of 5,000 units.
Assistive Technology News Quote Dated August 1993
 "By Elizabeth Jimenez, Quadriplegic"
"The Sen Sei System is a godsend to me. If I have something important to do, I can do it myself. I don't have to rely so much on someone else. I am not afraid to be left alone at home because the system allows me to be in control and to take care of myself. I love the independence, control and privacy that I now have with the help of Sen Sei. It is more important than these words can convey."
