Enron's executives employed accounting practices that falsely inflated the company's revenues, which, at the height of the scandal, made the firm become the seventh Corp. and Royal Dutch/Shell. The $570 million project has met with stiff opposition from environmental groups. The pipeline will deliver natural gas from Bolivia to a power plant under construction in Cuiaba, Brazil. |
