THE KODALUX PROCESSING SERVICES EVENT TOUR EXHIBIT
TO MAKE DEBUT AT SEATTLE SEAFAIR 92
SEATTLE, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Picture the action, the color and the memories of the Seafair 92.
That's what thousands of Seattle citizens will be doing as they record the exciting festivities on film. And prominently displayed at Seafair from July 30 through Aug. 2, encouraging visitors to "take more pictures," will be the world's most unique 18-wheel vehicle, the Kodalux Processing Services Images of America Exhibit.
The custom-built tractor-trailer, contrived by renowned Hollywood designer Armin Ganz, tranforms into a 1,500-square-foot exhibit which includes a 53-foot high photography tower, a second-story viewing patio and media broadcast center, an on-site photo processing lab, a customer hospitality center, a 750-square-foot photography exhibit area, and a customer service counter for sales of Kodak film, single-use cameras and event merchandise.
"Seafair 92 is a one-of-a-kind, prestige event, so we want to encourage people who attend to take more photographs which reflect their special interest and which will bring back satisfying memories for years to come," said Peter D. Fitzgerald, president and chief executive officer of Qualex Inc., the exclusive provider of premium Kodalux Processing Services, licensed by the Eastman Kodak Company.
"The distinct Images of America Exhibit will be a constant reminder to visitors to take more pictures, and when they're ready to have them processed, to choose Kodalux Processing Services to get the brightest, sharpest, most accurate prints available anywhere," Fitzgerald added. Available nationwide through film processing outlets such as camera stores, drug stores, supermarkets and chain stores, Kodalux Processing Services is available in Seattle at Pay-n-Save, Bartells, Kits Camera Stores, K-Mart, Albertsons and Talls Cameras.
The Kodalux Images of America Exhibit is considered the first new major concept for signage since the Goodyear Blimp. Using a special hydraulic lift to put a photo platform 53 feet into the air, the vehicle offers a unique view of the event. Local Seattle television stations and newspaper photographers have been invited to photograph the event from the tower.
Although spectators will not have access to the tower, they are invited to visit the exhibit and retail area and talk with photography personnel who will give tips on picture taking.
"Whether you're a photo enthusiast or just a casual picture-taker, Kodalux Processing Services will make your picture taking more memorable by delivering back to you unmatched premium quality processing," Fitzgerald said.
"Seafair 92 is one of the most colorful and prestigious events in America -- it represents a snapshot of what's special about the country," said Fitzgerald.
"That's why Kodalux Processing, the only national brand of film processing services, is so proud to be an official sponsor of Seafair 92. We're here to remind people to take more pictures, so those 'once- in-a-lifetime' moments are captured to relive in special moments in the future," he added.
Qualex Inc. is jointly owned by Fuqua Industries, Inc. and Eastman Kodak Company. Kodalux Processing Services trademark is licensed exclusively to Qualex by Eastman Kodak. Qualex is headquartered at 3000 Croasdaile Drive, Durham, N.C.
