THE JUKEBOX NETWORK REPLACES MTV IN SEVERAL MARKETS
The Jukebox Network today announced the following:
Allow us to introduce ourselves...We're the ones who replaced MTV in four markets nationally...The newer music television network that allows viewers to program the videos they want to see. Television controlled by the viewers -- that's what this interactive television is.
Here are the Top Ten important facts about The Jukebox Network:
 1) The Jukebox is all-viewer-programmed, meaning that viewers program the videos they want to see, as opposed to the standard network that programs itself. In other words, The Jukebox has 13 million programmers as opposed to a handful at other networks.
 2) The Jukebox Network has had enormous impact on the exposure of new artists because viewers like to be on the cutting edge. Many of today's hottest acts had tremendous airplay on The Jukebox before other music video outlets, including: Soundgarden, Nirvana, Jodeci, Gerardo, EMF, Jesus Jones, Naughty By Nature, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Another Bad Creation, Garth Brooks with his controversial/banned from MTV video "The Thunder Rolls," and Vanilla Ice, who world premiered on The Jukebox.
 3) The Jukebox Network is just like the jukebox in your local diner - you pay to program videos or you can just watch, listen and enjoy them.
 4) The Jukebox is NOT pay-per-view. It is a basic cable service, FREE to all basic cable subscribers (just like MTV). The screen is not blank if you do not request a video. However, if viewers want to PROGRAM a video, they will be billed through the phone company.
 5) The Jukebox is localized television. Only viewers in your community program your jukebox. Therefore, each jukebox has different programming. Manhattan's jukebox plays very different music from the one in Montgomery, Alabama. In addition, if a particular community does not like a certain video, it need not remain on that jukebox's selection menu, without affecting jukeboxes in other communities.
 6) The music menu from which viewers select contains 250 to 300 videos, unlike MTV's smaller daily rotation. This menu is updated each week to reflect each community's tastes. Therefore, each jukebox menu contains different videos. If Detroit likes rock, more rock is added. If St. Louis likes country, more country is added.
 7) The Jukebox Network is 24 hours of music videos, no VJs, game shows or docu-rock programs.
 8) The Jukebox's most requested videos across the country are consistently aligned with the top singles sales chart in Billboard. After all, people spend their money on their favorite music.
 9) Because The Jukebox purely offers videos for selection, the music menus can contain the newest videos and/or the newest artists, unlike a programmed network that must show proven material.
 10) A coupla guys who started MTV are now running The Jukebox Network, the music television of the '90's.
