THE HYPE RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE WORSHIPFUL FANS HAVE MADE SOPRANO CHARLOTTE CHURCH A PHENOMENON AT AGE 15.

Byline: - Evan Henerson

``Mum, have I sung at the Hollywood Bowl The Hollywood Bowl is a modern amphitheatre at 2301 North Highland Avenue in Hollywood, California, USA, that is used primarily for music performances. The "bowl" in this context is the natural cavity in the earth into which the amphitheater is built, rather than the shape of the ?'' Charlotte Church asks.

Who can be expected to remember so many days, dates and details when, at 15, you've already traveled the world many times over; performed for the pope, the Clintons and the Queen of England Noun 1. Queen of England - the sovereign ruler of England

Affirmative to the Bowl, relays Maria, which seems to jog the younger Church's memory.

``Wicked venue,'' proclaims the singer who made her Bowl debut in the summer of 1999.

Translation: thumbs-up for the Bowl, where Church will sing behind conductor John Mauceri John Mauceri (born 1945, New York) is an American conductor, producer and composer for theatre, opera and television. He was a protege of Leonard Bernstein.[1]  and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra on Friday and Saturday as part of two concerts titled ``Rule, Brittania!''

The next question stumps her as well.

``Mum, how big do you reckon my repertoire is?'' Church asks. She answers her own question: ``Pretty big. About 70 songs. And it's brilliant to go back to songs I haven't sung in a long time and see how they've changed.''

Aside from her Welsh songs, the Bowl program will feature works by John Barry John Barry may refer to:

Church elected not to cram to learn a British theme piece. She'll narrate Benjamin Britten's ``The Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra,'' and will perform two sets of her favorites.

Among them: selections from Leonard Bernstein's ``West Side Story,'' (``Tonight'') Rodgers and Hammerstein's ``Carousel'' (``If I Loved You'') Gershwin's ``Porgy porgy (pôr`gē), common name for members of the Sparidae, a family of small-mouthed fishes with strong teeth adapted for crushing their food of shellfish and crustaceans.  and Bess'' (``Summertime'') and Jerome Kern's ``Show Boat'' (``Can't Help Loving That Man''). She'll also sing Simon and Garfunkel's ``Bridge Over Troubled Water'' and ``Pie Jesu'' from Andrew Lloyd Webber's ``Requiem'' - the song that launched the then 11-year-old Church's career when her performance on the TV show ``Talking Telephone Numbers'' drew raves.

A frequent visitor to L.A., Church will be in town for a few more weeks this summer to work on her upcoming album, which she expects to release in October. For the still-untitled album, Church promises ``a different kind of album, but not so different as to alienate my fans.

``Different as in more worldly. We're kind of bringing in music from lots of different cultures,'' she adds. ``I've kind of exhausted the hymns and innocent little 12-year-old repertoire.''

``RULE, BRITTANIA!
