THE HYPE CANDLE IN THE WIND? MARILYN MONROE STILL HERE FOR THE HIGHEST BIDDER.


We knew her as Marilyn Monroe on the silver screen, on the cover of hundreds of movie magazines and in thousands of news clips. You didn't have to be a movie buff to know that her real name was Norma Jean The term Norma Jean can refer to several people:
  • Norma Jeane Mortensen, the given name of actress Marilyn Monroe.
  • Norma Jean, a Christian metalcore band.
  • Norma Jean, a Country music singer, nicknamed, "Pretty Miss Norma Jean".
 (or was it, as she sometimes wrote it, Norma Jeane?) Baker. She died in 1962, still a young woman, but because of her sensual beauty and the pathos that colored even the happiest days of her life and career, she has become an icon, probably more popular today than she was then.

The memorabilia, which includes letters, family photographs, a parking pass from 20th Century Fox issued to ``Norma Jean Dougherty,'' several items of clothing and the Jean Louis Jean Louis (born Jean Louis Berthauldt, October 5, 1907, Paris, France - April 20, 1997, Palm Springs, California, USA) was a U.S. costume designer and multiple Academy Award nominee in Costume Design.  costume sketch of the dress worn by Marilyn when she sang ``Happy Birthday'' to JFK in 1962, are from the collection of Marilyn's half-sister, Berniece Miracle, and her niece, Mona Miracle.
