But her hand-quilted design could earn her thousands of dollars.

Katherine Hall Page will not only sign books but also read from her newest Faith Fairchild mystery, ``The Body in the Moonlight'' (William Morrow

CHEERS: It's shorts season, for films anyway. The Skyy Short Film Awards will be presented tonight at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, with winners in four categories: fiction, nonfiction, animation and, in the spirit of its vodka-brand sponsor, ``cocktail moment.'' The winners in each category will receive a $5,000 cash prize, a meeting with an agent or manager, and the pleasure of seeing their films aired on the Sundance Channel.

Tonight's invitation-only ceremony includes a tribute to the 20-year career of actress Jennifer Jason Leigh, who makes her directing debut this summer with ``The Anniversary Party.''
