CINCINNATI, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Future Now, Inc. (NASDAQ: FNOW), the Cincinnati-based computer sales and services company that focuses on total solutions for its clients, has elected Dennis J. Sullivan to its board of directors.
Sullivan, who recently joined Cincinnati-based Dan Pinger Public Relations as an executive counselor, is a former executive vice president and chief financial officer of Cincinnati Bell Inc. and a former president of Cincinnati Bell Telephone. Additionally, he has served as vice president of consumer information services for American Bell Inc. and has served in various leadership positions in finance, marketing, and operations in the Bell System.
Sullivan currently serves as a director of the Fifth Third Bancorp, the Fifth Third Bank, the Community Mutual Insurance Company, and the ACCESS Corporation. He has served on the board of Cincinnati Bell Inc. and Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company for 10 years. In addition, he is chairman of the United Appeal board of directors, chairman of the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America, vice chairman of the Greater Cincinnati Advisory Board of the Salvation Army, a member of the board of trustees for the College of Mount Saint Joseph, a board member of the Free Store, and served as the chairman of Greater Cincinnati's 1990 United Way campaign.
The Future Now also announced today that it had sold the clone computer assembly operation it acquired with the acquisition of its Little Rock, Ark., operation in December 1991. The company does not expect to record a significant gain or loss on the sale of this operation, which was not a material portion of The Future Now's overall operations.
The Future Now, Inc. sells, installs and services microcomputers, UNIX workstations, turn-key local- and wide-area network systems, computer software and peripheral products for business, professional, educational and governmental customers. The company also offers a wide range of customer support and consulting services through its 23 branch sales offices in 16 states.
