THE FUTURE IS NOW IN HOUSING EXHIBIT.

Byline: -- Nancy Dillon

An exhibit showcasing the hot young architects behind 10 visionary housing projects around the globe opens today at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

"Open House: Architecture and Technology for Intelligent Living," running through July 1, explores the technologies and environmental concerns driving these homes of the future.

Highlights include the Jellyfish House from San Francisco's IwamotoScott and Proces2. Promoting the idea that residences can reclaim polluted areas, the house purifies toxic rainwater through its titanium dioxide-coated "skin."

Exhibit hours: noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Art Center's South Campus Wind Tunnel, 950 S. Raymond Ave., Pasadena. www.artcenter.edu.
