THE FAMILY CHANNEL SALUTES MARY DANIELS AND THE BOSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS'
 SPECIAL OLYMPICS PROGRAM
 WHO: Eliot Feldman, executive director of special education
 for Boston Public Schools; Roger Brown, executive
 director for Massachusetts Special Olympics; Paul
 Shulman, program coordinator for the Boston Public
 Schools Special Olympics Program; Karyl Resnick, section
 coordinator for the Massachusetts Special Olympics; and
 four Special Olympian athletes.
 WHAT: Will join Don Scott, Family Channel NE affiliate
 relations manager in saluting Dedham native Mary Daniels
 with the Family Channel "Accentuate the Positive" Award
 followed by a ride for her and the children on the Family
 Channel blimp.
 WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 1 (raindate: Oct. 2 same time)
 11 a.m. -- award ceremony
 11:30 a.m. -- blimp launch
 WHERE: Hanscom Airport Main Terminal
 -- This special award us being presented by The Family
 Channel to salute Mary Daniels, assistant manager of
 itinerant services for Boston Public Schools, for her
 efforts within the school system to implement the
 successful BPS/Special Olympics after-school sports

 program -- which provides nearly 400 special needs
 students with challenging year-round sports activities.
 -- The award is presented as a part of "The Family Channel's
 current "accentuate the Positive" Airship Tour '92 -- a
 three-month journey along the East Coast kicking off with
 the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, and concluding in
 Orlando, Fla. on Nov. 30.
 -- The Family Channel blimp will remain in the Boston area
 through Oct. 4, flying over weekend Red Sox games, and
 telecasting Saturday's Harvard/Holy Cross game.
