Brendan Everman scored 12 goals to establish a single-game scoring record for the Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. In the United States of America, Notre Dame  of Sherman Oaks boys' water polo water polo, swimming game encompassing features of soccer, football, basketball, and hockey. The object of the game is to maneuver, by head, feet, or hand, a leather-covered ball 27 to 28 in.  team in a 14-3 victory over Alemany of Mission Hills on Wednesday at Valley College.

The school's previous scoring mark was held by his brother Joel.

Everman also had seven steals for the Knights (3-2, 1-0) in the Mission League opener. Teammate Mike Warner made 14 saves.

In other boys' water polo:

--Crespi 13, Loyola 12: Jordan Van Zeebrock scored the game-winning goal in sudden death overtime an overtime in which the first team to score wins the game; - contrasted with normal overtime , which is a fixed period of time during which either team may score as often as they can.

--Nonleague: Behind a solid round from Maria Gamboa, Agoura shot a team-low 207 to defeat Westlake (223) and Hart (230) at the par-34 Westlake golf course Westlake Golf Course is a 18 hole regulation length golf course located in Westlake Village, California, USA. It is an 18-hole course designed by Ted Robinson, ASGCA in 1964. It features 5,080 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 67. The course rating is 63. .

Gamboa shot an even-par 34, including a birdie on the third hole. Teammates Kelly Jung (36) and Jasmine Koehler (38) finished second and third, respectively. Westlake's Shauna Barmasse and Hart's Jennifer Parks finished in a tie for fifth, each shooting six-over-par 40.

--Valley I Tournament: At the par-30 Van Nuys Executive Golf Course, Birmingham of Van Nuys' Jee Hee Wang shot a low round of 34 to earn medalist honors. However, Chatsworth finished first overall with a team-low 192, followed by Monroe of North Hills (197), North Hollywood (201) and Birmingham (212).

In girls' volleyball:

--Granada Hills d. Birmingham: The Highlanders remained undefeated in the West Valley League (2-0) with a 15-3, 15-5, 15-7 victory over visiting Birmingham. Cutrina Biddulph had 15 kills, Ara Ko had 25 assists and Amy Date had seven digs for the Granada Hills (4-1 overall).

--Kennedy d. Reseda: Jevay Grooms controlled the play at the net and had 23 kills and four blocks for the Cougars in the 15-3, 10-15, 15-9, 11-15, 15-3 Valley Mission League victory at home. Teammate Joean Ball added four kills and six aces and Lauren Camayoshi had 45 assists for Kennedy (2-3, 2-2). Reseda's Ashley Talub had 20 kills and Yessenia Garcia had 40 assists.
