Granada Hills junior Julie Park won her second City Section girls' golf championship in three years Monday, shooting 3-over-par 75 to finish five strokes ahead of Highlanders teammate Saki Uechi in the two-round competition at Hansen Dam Hansen Dam in Los Angeles County, California was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District in 1939 and 1940. The project is located near the northern edge of the San Fernando Valley on Tujunga Wash, about one mile below the confluence of the Big Tujunga Wash .

Park wound up 75-77-152. Uechi, the 1997 City champion, finished 78-79-157.

Wolves win: Sammy Choo swept in No. 2 singles and the No. 2 doubles team of Khalil Zaghian and Glendon Woo also swept to lead Van Nuys past Eagle Rock 16-1/2-13 in the City 3-A tennis final at the Racquet Centre.

Ohye and little else: Calabasas sophomore Justin Ohye took medalist honors at 1-under-par 71, but area golfers claimed little else in cold and windblown Northern Regional team competition at San Luis Obispo San Luis Obispo (săn l`ĭs ōbĭs`pō), city (1990 pop. 41,958), seat of San Luis Obispo co., S Calif., near San Luis Obispo Bay; inc. 1856.  Country Club.

Top area individuals included Westlake's J.T. Kohut (74), Westlake's Ian Medlock and Jon Ohye of Calabasas (both 76), Westlake's Mike Stroube (78) and Jeff Honnaker (79) of Simi Valley.

 Flintridge Prep was eliminated with a fifth-place finish.

Peninsula (389), Brentwood (390), Hart (396) and San Marino (401) all earned berths in Thursday's section finals at Canyon Country Club in Palm Springs.

Flintridge Prep, which edged Brentwood for the Prep title, shot 411 on the difficult Eisenhower course. Freshman Jeff Osborn led the Rebels with an area-best 4-over-par 76 - fifth-best score of the day - while Russell Surber and Andy Brisbois both shot 78.

Charlie Smith and Ryan Wyman shot 77 apiece to lead Hart. Adrian Tan (78), Brandon Wallace (80) and Travis Carruthers (84) completed the scoring for the Indians.
