Road rules in the Valley Pac-8Conference.

Three of the four high school baseball teams won on the road Monday. Sylmar beat Monroe and Jon Ennis 5-2, Poly knocked off Reseda 5-2 and North Hollywood won 5-1 at Van Nuys.

Grant was the lone exception, beating Canoga Park 10-2 at home.

Perhaps the biggest shock of the day was Sylmar (7-1, 3-0) beating the highly touted Ennis with a big performance by Ivan Hernandez. Hernandez struck out 13 and walked four to improve to 4-0.

The teams were tied going into the seventh when catcher Mario Pacheco untied it with a two-run triple. Pacheco also scored to give the Spartans their final run.

Poly scored four earned runs in the seventh inning to beat Reseda. Manny Manny may refer to:
