How 'bout those Eagles?: The strength of the Chaminade boys' basketball team became more apparent in the Eagles' own tournament, in which they had to fill one of the brackets with their JV team and got a 26-point effort from Shawn Pillar in a 87-70 loss to Marshall.

In other Chaminade tournament games, Josh Glass had 15 points and five steals while Brandon Woodard had 14 points and 10 rebounds as Campbell Hall Campbell Hall can refer to:

Matt Moore complemented Sullivan with strong play underneath the basket, scoring 15 points. Ronald Baghomian had 20 points for Glendale. Pool play resumes today at St. Francis High with the first game scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

The host Tigers (2-7) got 19 points from EsmHeralda Avala and 18 points and 15 rebounds from Maria Castellanos.

In other tournament games, Eagle Rock improved to 7-2 with a 50-33 win over Marshall. Julie Cabigting paced the Eagles with 11 points, seven rebounds and five steals.

Pioneeers win title: Patty Aguirre had 11 points and Kary Vander Borght nine points and seven rebounds to lead undefeated Providence (5-0) past Campbell Hall 49-46 in the championship game of the Providence girls' basketball tournament.
