THE CLOROX CO. OFFERS INEXPENSIVE SOLUTION TO LEAD IN DRINKING WATER
OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Concerns about lead in city drinking water, especially its effects on children and infants on formula, may have consumers worried about water quality solutions.
The Clorox Co., marketers of the "Brita" Water Filtering Pitcher, offers a simple, inexpensive solution with its pitcher and filter system. Although advertised as improving the taste of tap water, "Brita" eliminates 93 percent of the lead as well. Additionally, the filter reduces chlorine taste and other odors. The portable pitcher requires no installation. Each replaceable filter processes up to 35 gallons of tap water.
"Brita" Water Filtering Pitcher retails for about $25, and the replaceable filter retails for about $8. "Brita" is available at a wide variety of shops,
