Warner Bros BROS Brothers BROS Benefits and Retirement Operations Section (King County, Washington) BROS Barnes and Richmond Operatic Society (London, UK) . has postponed the feature film ``Superman Reborn'' and is unsure what the timetable will now be for the project, the studio said. Warner Bros. decided to postpone the scheduled July 1999 release date when the budget soared higher than $125 million, sources said. The studio also decided it wanted to do more script revision. Sources said all the major elements attached to the project will remain set, including director Tim Burton and Nicolas Cage, who is set to play Superman. Connery to be honored: Sean Connery will receive the Fellowship Award, the highest honor from the British Academy The British Academy is the United Kingdom's national academy for the humanities and the social sciences. It was established by Royal Charter in 1902, and is a fellowship of more than 800 scholars. The Academy is self-governing and independent. of Film and Television Arts, at Sunday's awards ceremony in London. The academy announced Thursday that Connery will be presented the award, recognizing lifetime achievement, by fellow Scot Billy Connolly (``Mrs. Brown''). Connery will join a list of honorees that includes Laurence Olivier, Charlie Chaplin, John Gielgud, Steven Spielberg Noun 1. Directed by James Moll, the picture traces the experiences of five Hungarian Holocaust survivors There are many famous Holocaust survivors who survived the Nazi genocides in Europe and went on to achievements of great fame and notability. Those listed here were, at the very least, residents of the parts of Europe occupied by the Axis powers during World War II who survived who fell victim to Nazi persecution and how their lives have been affected to the present day. `` `The Last Days' embodies the powerful lessons to be learned from the Holocaust,'' said Spielberg, founder and chairman of the Shoah Foundation. |
