SEE YOU IN PARIS Paris, in Greek mythology

: Who says a hotel heiress known mostly for her ability to smile can't design?

Apparently, no one. On Wednesday, Paris Hilton launched her new juniors clothing line.

Cappuccino-armed buyers and junior-wear enthusiasts gathered in the downtown L.A. Fashion District's California Market Center to get a look at Hilton and her sportswear line, which, (un)surprisingly, is not very sporty.

Apparently, that's a minor detail in the world of Paris, who opened the show with a decidedly rehearsed welcome/thank you to the Dollhouse clothing brand -- creators of her line -- for allowing her to put her stamp of approval (i.e. her logo) on whatever they ultimately came up with -- more or less.

What was paraded on the runway turned out to be pretty similar to the current trends of the tween/teen generation. It stayed mostly in the range of bright pinks and greens, with low-cut baby-doll dresses paired with interminable black leggings leg·ging

from her own line. Camera flashes assailed the space around Hilton's grinning face -- a face that said, "Get a good look, because you'll probably never see me wearing low-end denim again ... ever."

Sentiments around the refreshments table? One middle-age buyer described the line as "horrible." Nevertheless, teen girls around the globe are probably placing early orders for their Paris-approved cotton-blend frocks, like, yesterday. Hilton's sportswear -- for those who care -- will be available in department stores this fall.

OPENING DOOR: Florida Gov. Charlie Crist is being asked to pardon the late Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors, 38 years after he was convicted of exposing himself during a Miami concert.

Dave Diamond, a cable TV producer from Dayton, Ohio, wrote to Crist last month asking for the pardon. Diamond said the goal is to remember the Melbourne, Fla., native as an artist, not a rock 'n' roll rock 'n' roll: see rock music.  bad boy with a rap sheet.

Crist is an alumnus ALUMNUS, civil law. A child which one has nursed; a foster child. Dig. 40, 2, 14.  of Florida State, which Morrison had attended.

"Well, given that fact, I'm certainly willing to review it," said Crist.

Morrison was charged days after a concert at Dinner Key Auditorium Dinner Key Auditorium was an indoor arena in Miami, Florida. Many feel the Miami arrest put Morrison and the band in a downward spiral, which led to promoters canceling concerts and earned the band a stream of negative publicity. The hard-living Morrison died in a Paris bathtub of heart failure in 1971 at 27.

WARMING TO A THEME: Sheryl Crow, riding aboard a bus that uses biodiesel fuel, is on an 11-stop college tour in the South to raise awareness about global warming.

Accompanying the Grammy-winning singer is Laurie David, who produced "An Inconvenient Truth," the Oscar-winning documentary film on climate change.

Each stop on the tour will include remarks by David, a short performance by Crow, clips from "An Inconvenient Truth" and a dialogue with students, according to Crow's Web site."The more I learn about global warming, the more I know that we all have to do something to be a part of the solution," Crow, 45, said in a statement. "I am thrilled Laurie and I have the opportunity to go on the road and combine our efforts to educate the next generation on how they can make a difference."

Deciding "it was a nice day for a swim," she and the boys did their photos in the pool, and Klum later did interviews in a bathrobe.

If you want to check out Klum's jewelry, you can see it on QVC at 1 p.m. Saturday. She will be on-air live in a drier location.
