UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS?: Burt Reynolds Burt Reynolds (born February 11, 1936) is an Oscar-nominated Emmy Award-winning American actor. The show will premiere July 11, the network said Tuesday. It will begin with 15 contestants living together in a Hollywood Hills home. The winner will become the lead singer of INXS and will go on a world tour with the band, known for their hits ``What You Need'' and ``Need You Tonight.'' The band has used guest vocalists since Michael Hutchence died in 1997. CBS said ``Rock Star'' will air three times a week. Monday will focus on contestants' relationships and activities, while Tuesday and Wednesday will feature the competition and reveal who goes home.

THE JURY RESTS: A Louisville, Ky., jury has ruled against ex-TV host Darcie Divita in her defamation and invasion-of-privacy lawsuit against talk-radio KFI-AM's nighttime host John Ziegler.

Divita sued over comments Ziegler made on Louisville radio in August 2003 after the pair had broken up. Ziegler acknowledged the comments were inappropriate, but sought protection under the First Amendment.

After two hours of deliberation Tuesday, the jury in the five-day trial upheld Ziegler's claim that the case had no merit.
