 (Channel 28) wasn't able to air the first seven minutes of Sunday's ``Masterpiece Theater'' offering, Episode 1 of ``The Aristocrats.'' To make amends to fans, KCET will rebroadcast the episode in its entirety at 7:30 p.m. this Sunday, just before airing Episode 2 at 9 p.m. Episode 3 will air as scheduled on Oct. 24.

Disney, meet Miramax: There's a new gang for ``Gangs of New York'': Harvey and Bob, Marty and Leonardo.

At press time, Miramax Films had committed itself to working out a deal to co-finance Martin Scorsese's Irish gang period piece ``Gangs of New York'' with Disney, sources said.

The film, which will star Leonardo DiCaprio Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio (born November 11 1974[1]) is a three-time Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning American actor who garnered world wide fame for his role as Jack Dawson in Titanic.  and possibly Robert De Niro Noun 1.  and Cameron Diaz, is believed to be the first time that Disney and Disney-owned Miramax have co-financed a film together.

From `Cider' to `Chocolat': Acclaimed Swedish director Lasse a. & adv. 1. Less.  Hallstrom, whose upcoming Miramax release ``The Cider House A cider house is an establishment, often little more than a room in a farmhouse or cottage, selling cider only, for consumption on the premises.

The cider sold is usually brewed on the premises, from apples grown in a local cider orchard.
 Rules'' is generating big buzz in advance of its December release, has signed a two-year, first-look deal with the mini-major.

Hallstrom emerged on the international scene with 1985's ``My Life as a Dog,'' which earned him Oscar nominations for best director and adapted screenplay.

He followed with the Holly Hunter starrer, ``Once Around,'' ``What's Eating Gilbert Grape?'' starring Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio in an Oscar-nominated role, and ``Something to Talk About'' with Julia Roberts and Dennis Quaid.

Madonna clams up: Madonna has turned down the chance to lecture at Britain's venerable Cambridge University. Historian Dr. John Adamson asked the Material Mom to speak to undergraduates about the music industry's influence on contemporary culture. But Professor Ciccone's spokeswoman says she has no plans to accept the invite.
