While the women of ``Sex and the City'' may be sashaying off into the New York City sunset this Sunday in the last episode of the hugely successful and influential HBO series, there's a very good chance this won't be the last you see of Carrie Bradshaw's spiky Manolo Blahniks. According to Daily Variety, Bradshaw's Sarah Jessica Parker and the rest of her gal pals - Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall - are currently in talks with HBO about reprising their roles for the big screen. Michael Patrick King, the series' writer, director and executive producer, is at work on the screenplay, which he expects to have ready by May. King would also direct. There is no start date set for the film.

From Stern to Leno

John Melendez is preparing to join ``The Tonight Show With Jay Leno'' as replacement for the departing Edd Hall, and he will leave behind the Stuttering John persona that made him famous on Howard Stern's radio show. NBC spokeswoman Carrie Simons said Melendez, who starts March 29, will serve as the show's announcer and do some sketch comedy and correspondent bits just as Hall has done since 1992. Leno's producers found Melendez quite appealing in his peacemaker capacity on the ``I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here'' reality show and invited him on as a guest. When Hall announced last month that he wanted to leave ``Tonight'' to get back to acting, it created an opening that fit with Melendez's desire to move to Los Angeles. The deal was hammered out on Friday, and Melendez gave notice to Stern on Saturday. His last day on the New York-based radio program will be Feb. 27.

Norah Jones moves more than a million

Norah Jones' ``Feels Like Home,'' the follow-up to her multiplatinum, Grammy-winning debut album, has sold more than 1 million copies in its first week, the highest sales debut for an album since 2001. No act has posted more than 1 million in sales since 'N Sync sold 1.9 million copies of ``Celebrity'' in the summer of 2001. ``Feels Like Home'' was released Feb. 10, and for the week ending Sunday, it sold 1,022,149 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Jones' first album, ``Come Away With Me,'' was a surprise hit when it was released in 2002. The album of folky jazz tunes wasn't expected to sell 100,000 but has now sold more than 8 million copies. It also won eight Grammys last year, including album of the year. It continues to be a strong seller, and actually rose in sales, from about 43,000 in the previous week to 80,000 for the week ending Sunday.

Model behavior at issue in England

Naomi Campbell went to the tradition-steeped House of Lords Wednesday, hoping to win legal privacy rights for Britain's beleaguered celebrities. The supermodel, dressed in a pale turquoise pants suit, watched as her lawyers appealed a court ruling that a newspaper had the right to print a picture of her leaving a drug rehabilitation meeting. Campbell wants to overturn the October 2002 ruling that the Daily Mirror was justified in publishing a picture of her leaving the Narcotics Anonymous meeting because she'd lied previously to the media about her drug use. Her lawyers began arguments Wednesday before a panel of five Law Lords - judges who sit in the upper chamber of Parliament and constitute Britain's highest appeals court.
