Countryside Christian Fellowship - A worship concert with the Countryside Band will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Coburg Community Park gazebo gazebo

New Life Church - The church at 2080 19th St. in Springfield has hired Brent Wagner as its youth pastor and Earl Faunce as its children's pastor. Wagner, from Southern California, began work this past week and Faunce, from Vancouver, Wash., will begin his new job Monday. Special guest on Sunday will be Jeff Swaim, director of Convoy of Hope Convoy of Hope is a nonprofit organization that provides disaster relief, supply lines and outreaches to the poor and disaster-stricken in the United States and around the world. , which provides disaster relief around the world. Association of Free Lutheran Congregations Association of Free Lutheran Congregations is the fourth largest Lutheran church body in the United States. The AFLC includes congregations in 27 different states, as well as four Canadian provinces. The AFLC is not an incorporated synod, but a free association.  - The Rev. Elden Nelson of Rockford, Minn., who served Spencer Creek Lutheran Church in Eugene from 1973-76, has been elected to a three-year term as president of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations. Nelson previously served as the group's vice-president and assistant to the president. The election occurred at the group's annual conference in Sioux Falls, S.D.
