Easter activities

Community Easter Egg An undocumented function hidden in software that may or may not be sanctioned by management. Easter Eggs are secret "goodies" found by word of mouth or accident. They are also used in video games, movies, TV commercials, DVDs, CDs, CD-ROMs and every so often in hardware.  Hunt - A fifth annual Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held Sunday at 11:45 a.m. at Meadow View School, 1855 Legacy St., off Barger Drive. The free hunt, featuring 25,000 Easter eggs, is open to children 12 and younger. Emmanuel Christian Church on Coburg Road is lead sponsor. Information: 431-7374.

Community Easter Sunrise Service Traditional View
Sunrise service is a worship service on Easter. It takes the place of the Roman Catholic tradition of the Easter Vigil, and is practiced by mainly Protestant churches.
, Oakridge - A community Easter sunrise service will be held at 6:30 a.m. Sunday near the airport overlooking Oakridge. The Easter service at Oakridge United Methodist Church United Methodist Church, in the United States, religious body formed by the union in 1968 of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Methodist Church (see Methodism). , 48138 E. First St., will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by a community Easter dinner. Information: 782-3647.

 of the Resurrection - A "Great Vigil of Easter" service will be held today at 7 p.m. at the church, 3925 Hilyard St. The service will include renewal of baptismal vows Baptismal Vows The name popularly given to the renunciations required of an adult candidate for baptism just before the sacrament is conferred. In the case of infant baptism, they are made in the name of the child by the sponsors. , Holy Eucharist, psalms and anthems. Sunday's Easter services include Holy Eucharist, Rite 1, at 8 a.m. and a Festival Eucharist of Easter Day at 10:30 a.m. Three choirs, trumpet and organ, and the music of King, Hallock, Mozart, Lindley and Sala will be featured. Grace Lutheran Church - An Easter sunrise service will be held Sunday at 6:30 a.m. at the church, 18th Avenue and Hilyard Street. Church youth will serve an Easter breakfast from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. An Easter egg hunt and Sunday School Sunday school, institution for instruction in religion and morals, usually conducted in churches as part of the church organization but sometimes maintained by other religious or philanthropic bodies.
