St. Mary's Episcopal Church - `Into the Darkness, Into the Light,' a liturgical drama told through Scripture, poetry and character sketches, will be presented at 7:45 p.m. today at the church, East 13th Avenue and Pearl Street. Written and performed by professional actor Jay Hornbacher. Eucharist service will be at 5:30 p.m. and a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Information: 343-9253 or www.saint-marys.org.

New Life Center - Two New Year's services will be held today and Sunday at the center, 2080 19th St. in Springfield. Today's service at 6 p.m. includes finger food. Sunday's service will be at 10 a.m. Information: 746-1291.

Central Presbyterian Church - A New Year's service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, followed by a potluck brunch, at the church at 555 E. 15th Ave. At 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, an Epiphany vespers service will be followed by Wednesday Nite Bite. Information: 345-8724.

Valley River Baptist Church - Bill Youngmayr will speak in worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church at 1145 Willagillespie Road. The American Baptist Women will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday for business, luncheon and a program. Information: 345-6752.

McKenzie Valley Presbyterian Church - The Rev. Sandra Larson and the Rev. George Furniss, a clergy couple, will begin ministry Sunday as co-pastors of McKenzie Valley Presbyterian Church. Both previously served in ministry at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Eugene, and Furniss also serves as chaplain of the Senior Health and Wellness Center in Eugene. Larson will preach in Sunday's worship service at 10:30 a.m. at the church, at Milepost 13 on Highway 126 in Walterville. Information: 484-2255.

Eugene Baha'i Center - "Love and Family will be the topic for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday adult spiritual enrichment program at the center, 1458 Alder St. A weekly 10 a.m. Sunday devotional service will include selected readings from the world's sacred scriptures, inspirational music and open prayers. First Presbyterian Church - Priory Farm will sponsor a taize service at 10 a.m. Sunday at the church, 216 S. Third Ave., Cottage Grove. Information: 767-0053.

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church - Priory Farm will sponsor a community taize service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 1301 Main St., Cottage Grove. Information: 767-0053.

Trinity United Methodist Church - Church Women United will meet at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the church, 440 Maxwell Road. UNICEF volunteer Kim Bryson-Chamley will present "A World Without UNICEF." Information: 344-4321.
